Cloud - The Heavy Jargon

Hi all.

This is the first post of this blog.

I have been hearing the word "cloud", right from my childhood. The cloud that brings rain.
But when, in IT industry, I heard this again, I was curious to know, what is it?

In IT industry, each and every terminology has been borrowed from real world entities.
Example: Payload, which was used in rocket science.

So I assumed the same way for cloud.
Cloud brings rain. So the IT cloud does!!
Something like this. "Hey, you do not drill land for water, instead I will pour for you".

Similarly, you do not buy hardware components to get them assembled as computer, instead cloud will give one.

But does cloud work without internet?

The answer for now is "NO".

Now I will ask some better questions, which will fetch us answer for all our queries hidden.
  1. Is cloud a device?
  2. How a cloud is formed?
  3. Examples of cloud in real-time?
  4. Why should I need cloud?
  5. What are SaaS, PaaS, IaaS?
  6. Why the future is moving towards cloud?
  7. What next after cloud? Thunder!! or Thunderstorm!!!
The above questions will be the titles of upcoming posts.

Stay tuned...
